Dear John,
What if you could cut through all the noise in the daily news and connect with the facts—straight from the people impacted by events happening around the globe?
At Atlas Network, we and our partners share stories affecting freedom throughout the world that you can’t find anywhere else, giving you the chance to hear firsthand from people who are true newsmakers championing individual rights in their countries and communities.
That's why our Cornerstone Talks are featured programming at this year's Liberty Forum in New York City—these are personal perspectives from amazing people who share your values. They might remind you of TED talks, and if you’ve been to Liberty Forum before, you know why.
Here’s a Cornerstone Talk from Simon Lee about the heroic champions for freedom in Hong Kong.

In the 8 minutes it takes to listen to a Cornerstone Talk, you might learn more about the world you live in than in 8 hours of watching the news anywhere else.
For example, Alexander Zibzibadze will come to us from all the way in Georgia—as in, the former Soviet republic, not the home of the Bulldogs. Alexander co-founded Franklin Club, where he works in Donor Outreach. But he isn’t coming to talk about fundraising.
Officials in Georgia’s parliament tried to pass a law requiring nonprofits like his to register as “foreign agents,” basically branding them as spies in order to suppress supporters of liberal democracy and individual freedom.
Young Georgians stood up for their rights, and Alexander has a story for us all on defending your freedom in the face of a government that’s out to take it.
If you’d like to see more of the speakers, here’s a quick rundown:
* Ibrahim Anoba, an Atlas Network fellow who focuses on issues in Africa, will speak on “Africa's New Coups: A Consequence of Authoritarianism and Elusive Economic Freedom”
* Romina Boccia of the Cato Institute, will speak on “Escape from Debtocracy”
* Žilvinas Silenas, former president of Foundation for Economic Education, will give his Cornerstone Talk on “How We Win Over Young People"
* Casey Pifer, Atlas Network’s Vice President of Institute Relations, will present “From Vision to Victory: Finding the Path to Think Tank Excellence"
* Luis Miranda, Chair & Co-founder of the Indian School of Public Policy, will be speaking on “India - The Road to 2047”
Any one of these subjects would make for a fascinating podcast or radio interview, but they are coming to speak directly to our audience at Liberty Forum in New York City in a few short days, and we are grateful for each one of them. In my previous experiences at Liberty Forum, a word that I often hear from the audience of these talks is “inspired”—that’s why I think you’ll like what you hear.
I hope to see you next week! If you can’t make it to New York, the next best thing is to watch Atlas Network’s social media on Facebook, Instagram, YouTube and more to catch the highlights there.
