Republican Speaker Mike Johnson just announced a floor vote to authorize a formal impeachment inquiry against President Biden, despite not having any evidence.

This groundless and unjustifiable investigation has been underway for months, yet Republicans have failed to provide any incriminating evidence of their baseless claims that Biden accepted bribes.

Now, launching a formal impeachment inquiry against the president is their latest ploy.

This is simply an abuse of power. Speaker Johnson should be bringing impactful legislation to the floor, legislation that will help the lives of Americans. But he fails to do so under the pressure of his party and extremist colleagues.
