Hey John,
Since the U.S. Supreme Court gutted Roe v. Wade and betrayed both women and democracy, we have won ballot initiatives in all seven states that have put the issue of abortion access to a statewide vote.
Since the disastrous Dobbs decision, women have driven wins at the ballot box, and we can’t stop now. Ballot initiatives are being considered for several other states for 2024, and we have to be ready for the fight ahead.
These are the urgent abortion rights battles on the horizon:
Arizona: Abortion access advocates aim to amend the state constitution to ensure abortion access until around 24 weeks, requiring 384,000 signatures by July 3.
Colorado: Dueling efforts between abortion rights and opponents seek constitutional amendments. Both sides need 124,000 signatures by Aug. 5. Any measure would need at least 55% of votes to pass.

Florida: Efforts back a constitutional amendment to reverse abortion restrictions, challenging bans at 15 and 6 weeks, requiring 900,000 signatures by Feb. 1.

New York: A 2024 ballot question seeks to protect reproductive healthcare and autonomy.
Pennsylvania: Republican lawmakers might seek a constitutional amendment barring abortion rights. Both chambers of the legislature previously approved the question, but would need to re-approve again to get this measure on the 2024 ballot.
South Dakota: A proposed constitutional amendment seeks to roll back abortion bans, requiring 17,000 signatures by May 7.
Washington: Efforts to protect abortion access await legislative advancement.
Winning will take all of us pushing in every way we can. Can we count on you in this fight?
