Hi there,
Bernie Sanders has been the vanguard of the left since his 2016 presidential campaign. Young voters have especially embraced his vision for the future, including Medicare-for-All, college debt forgiveness, and a wealth tax.
His presence in the race pushed many other candidates to embrace more progressive values and fired up many voters to get out to the primary.
However, after poor results from the past two weeks' primaries, many Democrats are looking to November to have a unified front to take on Trump. With Biden winning Michigan, a state Bernie won in 2016, and winning Mississippi with 81% of the vote, Bernie is facing a steeper and steeper uphill path to win the nomination.
Bernie stated in a post-Tuesday primaries press conference that he intends to stay in the race, despite the fact that Nate Silver's FiveThirtyEight gives him a less than 1% chance of securing a majority of delegates.
We need to know where engaged Democrats stand right now:
Should Bernie Sanders drop out?
