Before the end of the year, we need to make an offer to an Organizing Director, but before we can do that, we have to build up our budget for our WHOLE organizing operation. Nancy, Maggie, and I have discussed our strategy, and we know the organizing team will be a considerable line on our budget, but right now, it’s lower than I’d like it to be going into the end of the year.
In just a few days on the job, I’ve felt the momentum of Nancy’s race. People are ready for a leader like Nancy – someone who is honest, forward-thinking, and a creative problem solver – to represent them in Congress.
With your support, we can flip NY-01, but it's going to take all of us to counter the MAGA chaos we're up against.

This beautiful new addition to my home holds a special meaning to me because it means my kids have grown up and established their own lives. This year, my daughter took the menorah she received at her bat mitzvah celebration, to use in her own home out of state. I’m lucky that my children still live only a train ride away, but many families are not as fortunate. Building a life in Suffolk County has become unattainable and out of reach for young people.
We need an economy that works for all and fosters opportunities for everyone to succeed. As the Democratic candidate for Congress in NY-01, I am committed to advocating for policies that generate better job opportunities, ensuring that our families can stay together and prosper. We can't stop there: We need affordable housing, accessible healthcare, and fully-funded schools. These are essential components of this vision -- building blocks for a community where everyone has the chance to thrive.
