Women’s Funding Network releases landscape report on women’s economic mobility, in partnership with women’s funds across the country:

Women are fundamental drivers of economic growth, yet significant barriers to their participation in the economy exist.  With support from the Gates Foundation, we’ve written the 2020 Landscape of Women’s Economic Mobility report which outlines these barriers, along with opportunities and the corresponding strategies implemented by women’s foundations across the U.S.  Pathways to success for women in the workplace and the broader economy must be created by, for, and about women.  Read more to understand how the economic security of women and their families is affected when a gender lens is applied.

Since the Trump administration has been in office, it has created alliances with some of the world's worst violators of women's rights. "That the United States has planted its flag so firmly in their camp is an ominous sign for the world’s women and girls, who, despite recent progress, continue to face an onslaught of preventable health threats." - Foreign Policy
UN Women launched a new report, "Women's Rights in Review 25 years after Beijing," and finds that despite some progress, gender equality is faltering and hard-won advances are being reversed.

In Utah, there is a bill that would require women to undergo an ultrasound and be presented with video and audio of their fetus before terminating a pregnancy. On Tuesday, Utah's six female senators - Republican and Democratic - left the chamber in protest, refusing to vote. - Salt Lake Tribune
