It's clear, team:
The state of Texas does not care about pregnant people. That was made crystal clear last week during oral arguments in our case against the state of Texas's abortion bans.
Right now, we need you to help us make some serious noise. Add your name if you agree that NO ONE should be forced to wait until they are at death’s door to receive health care!
Here's just one story from a plaintiff in our case against Texas that shows why this fight really matters:
Kylie Beaton knows firsthand how dangerous Texas's laws are. When she was 20-weeks pregnant with her second child, Kylie and her husband learned that the baby had a fatal condition in which the head grows abnormally quickly and was unlikely to survive past birth. Kylie begged to be induced at an earlier gestation so she could deliver vaginally, but her doctors were unable to due to Texas's abortion bans.
After rushing to the hospital in severe pain at 35 weeks, Kylie was finally sent for an emergency Cesarean. Her baby died four days after he was born, and Kylie now fears for her health, safety and ability to get pregnant again in the future.
By denying health care to pregnant people, Texas and other states like Idaho, Tennessee and Oklahoma are robbing people of their constitutional rights to health. We’re fighting back but we need you with us.
Do you agree that no one should be forced to wait until they are dangerously ill before receiving essential health care?
The plaintiffs in our legal challenges to U.S. state abortion bans are buoyed by your unwavering support. Thank you for adding your name as we continue to fight for abortion access for all.
Sincerely,
Marc Hearron
