Friend,
A giant utility company that the government actually owns—the Tennessee Valley Authority (TVA)—is putting the Biden administration's very own climate commitments at risk.
If this seems absolutely nonsensical, that's because it is. It's time TVA changes course—and it's on the Biden administration to hold this federal utility accountable.

TVA was originally created by New Deal visionaries to uplift and bring power to underserved communities in the Southeast. But today, it's one of America's dirtiest utilities, shackling over 10 million people across 7 states to polluting, unreliable, and expensive energy.

It doesn't have to be this way.
There is a future where TVA becomes a clean energy leader that exemplifies President Biden's climate leadership, cuts costs and pollution, and empowers communities. In our latest explainer, we share how recent shifts in decision-making power are creating an urgent opportunity to fix TVA.

The Biden administration has a choice to make—it's not too late for them to make the right one.
Sincerely,
