Radical Imagination logo

Radical imagination — the audacity that drives us to envision a new and better world — has been the kindling that sparks activism within our communities for generations. Although forces have always attempted to quell that activism, we continue to lift up those visionaries who think big, demand better, and redefine the paths to our collective liberation.

Listen to this season’s episodes:

  • Redesigning Our Nation for All: Michael McAfee, PolicyLink President & CEO, discusses the journey to unravel and repair the systemic inequities across the nation and to advance an agenda to realize a thriving multiracial democracy.
  • Relentless for Climate Justice: Anthony Giancatarino of Taproot Earth, and Doris Brown of West Street Recovery put forth the possibilities for climate solutions through the power of People’s Movement Assembly and collective action.
  • Realizing Spatial Reparations: Rasheedah Phillips, PolicyLink Director of Housing, discusses a holistic approach to rectifying historical wrongs, prioritizing equitable access to land, housing, and economic opportunities; and the need to lean into principles of spatial justice.
  • Remaining Viligant for Clean Water: Cindy Howe, of Navajo Water Project at DigDeep, espouses stories of resilience and joy as her community prioritizes our human right to clean water and the fight to secure it.
  • Revolutionizing Education with Afrofuturism: Ja'Sonta Roberts of Assemble, a community space for art and technology in Pittsburgh, dives deep into a progressive curriculum that centers Black creators and their role in shaping history as a way of encouraging students to imagine the future they want to build, and then activating their brilliance and power to build it.

The work lifted up in each episode exemplifies the courage and radical imagination necessary to translate bold visions into impact. Please share with your people.

In our remaining three episodes, we’ll discuss rebooting AI, reclaiming outdoor spaces; and kick off 2024 with revolutionary leadership.
