Over 100 Democrat Representatives Decline to Support Antisemitism Bill

Townhall: Illustrating Democrats’ very real problem supporting Israel and condemning antisemitism, 13 members of President Joe Biden’s party in the U.S. House of Representatives voted “no” and another 92 voted “present” on a resolution “strongly condemning and denouncing the drastic rise of antisemitism in the United States and around the world” (Townhall). Daily Caller: The resolution singled out the chants of “from the river to the sea” as one of the antisemitic acts it condemned. It also cited the killing of Paul Kessler by a pro-Palestinian protester in Los Angeles and a violent Nov. 15 protest where pro-Palestinian demonstrators blocked entrances to the Democratic National Committee headquarters, injuring six police officers (Daily Caller). Townhall: 92 House Democrats just voted present on a resolution condemning antisemitism (X).

Riley Gaines Testifies Before House Subcommittee Hearing on Protecting Title IX
Catholic Vote: Retired collegiate swimmer and women’s sports advocate Riley Gaines testified Tuesday afternoon at a House subcommittee hearing titled “The Importance of Protecting Female Athletics and Title IX.” Gaines discussed her story of being forced to compete against Lia (born William) Thomas, a man who says he is a woman. Gaines said she and other female swimmers “watched as this male swam to a women’s national title, beating out the most impressive and accomplished female swimmers in the nation, including Olympians and American record-holders.” “In addition to losing out on opportunities to Thomas, we also had to share a locker room and change in front of the six-foot-four, fully intact naked male,” she added. Neither she nor the other swimmers were “forwarned of this arrangement,” she said. “We were not asked for our consent and we did not give our consent.” Gaines elaborated that science “supports this instinct” with studies showing that “males have a 10% to 12% athletic advantage over females” (Catholic Vote). Mary Margaret Olohan: 12x All-American swimmer/IWF Ambassador Riley Gaines testifies before lawmakers on “The Importance of Protecting Female Athletics and Title IX” (X). Greg Price: National Women’s Law Center President Fatima Goss Graves, the liberal witness at the Title IX hearing, says that female athletes should “learn to lose gracefully” to biological men (X).

Trans Cyclists Take Gold, Silver in Major Race
Washington Examiner: A pair of transgender athletes captured gold and silver medals Sunday at a major Illinois women’s cycling competition. The cyclists, identified as 25-year-old Tessa Johnson and 30-year-old Evelyn Williamson (both of whom are biological males who identify as transgender women), took home first and second place, respectively, in the women’s Single Speed competition of the Illinois State Cyclocross Championship (Washington Examiner). Riley Gaines: Two men take 1st & 2nd at the Illinois State Cyclocross Championships yesterday. USA Cycling has 2 categories for men and none for women. Any woman who concedes and doesn’t compete, I will personally pay them the prize money they’re missing out on. Stop participating in the farce (X). New York Post: She previously competed in men’s categories at Clemson University, but it was only after switching to compete as a transgender female that Johnson started picking up wins. Williamson, meanwhile, has been racing in the women’s category since at least 2017, earning 18 titles. But in 2020, she appeared to compete in both the men’s and women’s categories at the Sky Express Winter Criterium, where she won first place as a woman — yet did not place against the men (New York Post).

Rep. Debbie Dingell (D-MI) Gets Doxxed for Speaking Up About Hamas Raping Israelis
Hill: Rep. Debbie Dingell (D-Mich.) said Monday she was doxxed three times because of her condemnation of Hamas’s use of rape against Israeli women but added she is now even more committed to calling attention to the issue. “The very first week of this attack after Hamas, I condemned the raping of women and said that no one could condone it, and Palestinian men went after me — called me a liar, demanded I retracted it. I got doxxed over the subject,” Dingell said in an interview with CNN’s Kasie Hunt. “I have spent the last seven weeks researching the raping of women that has occurred in the Mideast. It is outrageous. I condemn it.” Dingell said it was “stunning” to get such “vicious” attacks from people — including women — demanding she retract her statements. “I won’t. All it did was make me angrier,” she said. “This is going to be an issue I am seriously going to take on” (Hill).

Speaker Mike Johnson Sends Message to Biden: Fix the Border and We’ll Discuss Ukraine Funding
Katie Pavlich: Newly minted House Speaker Mike Johnson sent a letter to Office of Management and Budget Director Shalanda Young Tuesday laying down a line on Ukraine funding. While the letter is addressed to Young, who is negotiating with lawmakers on a government funding package by the end of the year, it’s for President Joe Biden (Townhall). Speaker Mike Johnson: My response to the White House on their lack of a clearly defined strategy and end game for prevailing in Ukraine and the need for transformative change to our nation’s border security laws (X). Townhall: Sen. Lindsey Graham to his Democrat colleagues: “You’re really robust when it comes to Ukraine…but when it comes to our border, you’re playing a game of doing the least amount possible” (X). Rep Mike Waltz: This is an excellent breakdown of Biden’s failed Ukraine & border strategy from Speaker Johnson. It’s been nearly TWO YEARS and Biden hasn’t laid out a strategy to end the war – even behind closed doors – all while our border is being overwhelmed (X).

Border Patrol Agents Release 42,000 Illegal Immigrants in San Diego
Daily Wire: U.S. border authorities dropped off 42,000 illegal immigrants on San Diego County streets between September and November of 2023. The migrants have often been left at bus and trolley stops, three prominent sites for drop-off have been the Iris Transit Center San Diego; in San Ysidro, near the Port of Entry; and in Oceanside. In September, Oceanside Mayor Esther Sanchez said roughly 100 illegal immigrants arrived every day in Oceanside from San Clemente, where they had been processed. In October, the San Diego County Board of Supervisors spent $3 million for migrant support services. On Tuesday, the board will vote whether to spend another $3 million for a welcome center for the immigrants (Daily Wire).

Biden Targets Pro-Life Pregnancy Centers
Townhall: Under a proposed rule by President Joe Biden’s Department of Health and Human Services, states may longer be able to use Temporary Assistance for Needy Families (TANF) funds to keep pro-life pregnancy resource centers open. The rule proposed by HHS Secretary Xavier Becerra will impact four states that use these funds towards pregnancy resource centers: Missouri, Pennsylvania, Louisiana and Indiana (Townhall). Susan B. Anthony Pro-Life America: The Biden administration’s move goes against recent polling which underscores the popularity of pregnancy resource centers. A Creative Response Concepts poll found 74% are in favor of publicly funding these centers. The four states individually utilize between $1-7 million of TANF dollars to fund pregnancy centers in a year. According to SBA Pro-Life America State Policy Director Katie Daniel, the amount is a drop in the bucket compared to Planned Parenthood, which received $670.4 million of federal and state taxpayer dollars in 2021-2022. Pregnancy centers are the only entities called out in the proposed rule (Susan B. Anthony Pro-Life America).

Home Explodes in Virginia as Police Attempt to Carry Out Search Warrant
Wall Street Journal: A home was destroyed by a large explosion in a Washington, D.C., suburb as police said they were trying to execute a search warrant in response to a man firing a flare gun into the surrounding neighborhood. Their initial investigation indicated a man fired a flare gun about 30 or 40 times from the house. Officers attempted to gain entry to the property after the suspect barricaded himself inside, discharging several rounds of what was believed to be a firearm. At around 8:25 p.m. ET, a large explosion occurred, completely destroying the house. Video of the incident, taken by a neighbor and posted on social media, appeared to show an explosion engulfing the house and sending debris flying into the air. Three police officers suffered minor injuries. Police said they were still investigating the cause of the blast and didn’t comment on the identity or the status of the man inside the house (Wall Street Journal). HotAir: The owner of the duplex was pretty quickly identified as James Yoo. Yoo lived in one half of the duplex and rented out the other half to a family. Fortunately, the family had been evacuated by the time of the explosion (HotAir). Citizen Free Press: This is reportedly video from a big house explosion in Arlington, Virginia tonight. Arlington police officers were executing a search warrant (X).

GOP Claims DOJ Preventing Whistleblowers from Testifying in Hunter Biden Investigation
National Review: The Department of Justice is preventing two would-be whistleblowers from testifying in the Biden impeachment investigation, House Republicans claim in a report on the status of their investigation released Tuesday. The 78-page report, issued by the House Judiciary, Ways and Means, and Oversight Committees, accuses the DOJ of stonewalling the congressional investigation into allegations that the Biden administration gave the president’s son special treatment while investigating his failure to pax federal income taxes in 2017 and 2018. Earlier this year, two IRS whistleblowers — Gary Shapley and Joseph Ziegler — came forward alleging that the investigation into Biden’s taxes was throttled and politically influenced. In mid July, Shapley testified that then-U.S. attorney David Weiss said in a meeting with investigators that he had been denied special counsel status and was being blocked by his superiors from bringing charges against the younger Biden in the appropriate jurisdictions. Ziegler, a self-described “gay Democrat” and fellow investigator on the team, testified that he pushed Weiss to bring charges against Biden in the District of Columbia and Southern California, but that Weiss refused and said the decision was not his to make. Weiss, who has since been named special counsel, denied that he made any such statement and has insisted that he was given the freedom to pursue the case as he saw fit (National Review).

San Francisco Learns a Valuable Lesson: Crack Down on Crime, Crime Reduces
Washington Examiner: San Francisco has decided to crack down on car burglaries. Coincidentally, the city has now seen a drop in car burglaries. It may be impossible to know, but the two things may be related. San Francisco renewed its focus on car break-ins, using bait cars, plainclothes police officers, and video surveillance to crack down on car burglaries. San Francisco District Attorney Brooke Jenkins, who replaced pro-criminal District Attorney Chesa Boudin after he was recalled, emphasized vigorous prosecutions, hard-line messaging, and police efforts targeted at prolific burglars. Incredibly enough, arresting prolific car burglars and throwing the book at them has resulted in fewer car burglaries. Car burglaries throughout this year matched the numbers from 2022. Then, San Francisco pledged to crack down on these break-ins in August, and the numbers dropped dramatically. There were 6,703 reported smash-and-grab car burglaries from Sept. 1 to Nov. 26 last year. The number during that period dropped to 3,399 this year, again, after the previous eight months this year matched last year’s numbers (Washington Examiner).
