But you might be surprised to learn that some of these same corporations are lobbying behind the scenes against policies that would slow the pace of climate change.
A new report found that 93% of American companies claim to work towards a “clean” future, while many barely align with realistic climate goals. Even worse, 58% of companies have set climate targets that go against their own government lobbying.
This double standard of corporations is nothing new, but with climate change, the stakes are higher than they’ve ever been.
