What will our democracy look like in 336 days? That’s how long we’ve got until the 2024 elections, and the results will shape our country and our lives for years to come.
The freedom, progress, and gains we have made over time are not guaranteed. In the words of Coretta Scott King, they are earned in every generation. And we will have to fight for them in 2024.
Extremist Republicans are threatening reproductive freedom, voting rights, Social Security benefits for our elders, and our very democracy. It’s the legislated hurt and harm that have become central to the Republican strategy. And billionaire donors behind right-wing groups like AIPAC are targeting this team. But we cannot cower and hide. That’s exactly what they want. We must come together and push back.
Right now, I’m thinking about the real work it’s going to take to defend this seat, defeat Republican extremism, and ensure we can keep delivering progress for working-class families everywhere.
