Today the House GOP passed a catastrophic resolution HR 894, stifling free speech. HR 894 equates antizionism with antisemitism, which equates criticism of a state government with hatred of a people.

Congressman Jerry Nadler, who himself is Jewish and represents the largest and most diverse Jewish constituency in Congress, slammed this resolution as, "Intellectually disingenuous and factually wrong."

The correct vote on this resolution should have been "NO." As a human rights lawyer who has fought against antisemitism throughout my adult life, I know that antisemitism is a real threat to our Jewish neighbors. I also know it won't be resolved by criminalizing criticism of a state government. Sadly, my opponent refused to vote "NO" on this GOP resolution. This sets a terrible and dangerous precedent in the United States.
And this is yet another reason we need new leadership funded by We the People.
