Now, I’m reaching out about my campaign’s most important deadline yet: the Filing Deadline. 

In order to get on the ballot next year, I have to pay the filing fee by December 8. For people like my opponent, political insider Kevin McCarthy, the filing process doesn’t pose any challenges. 

For me, a public school teacher fighting to counter historic poverty, expand healthcare access, and protect reproductive rights in our district, the path to the ballot looks very different. 

My journey to getting on the ballot involves taking time off from the classroom, finding a substitute teacher, and dedicating a significant portion of a teacher's salary to meet the fee requirements. Can I count on you to chip in any amount toward the $1,740 filing fee? >>
