John: Yesterday, I officially filed to be on the ballot in 2024. And in a moment, I'm going to ask you to become a Founding Donor of my campaign to defeat Ted Cruz. But first, let me tell you why this race matters so much for Texans – and why I can't do it without you.

Ted Cruz is too dangerous – for Texas and for our democracy. We've seen him promote his extremist conspiracy theories to anyone who will listen. We watched when he abandoned Texans during a deadly freeze just to go on vacation. We heard him cheer on the insurrection on January 6th. John, we know Texans deserve much, much better from our leaders – and that’s exactly why I’m running for Senate.

But this race isn't going to be easy. Recent polling shows our race neck and neck with 14% of voters still undecided, so Republican mega donors are pouring money into Ted's campaign as we speak. Beating him will take a determined grassroots movement – and that's why I have to ask:
