This year has had more shootings than days, and yet we’ve seen an increase in states loosening their gun restrictions – policy we know increases gun violence.

As teachers, the gun violence epidemic has already become a part of our everyday life. And with gun laws getting rolled back, our worry about the safety of our students, friends, and colleagues only increases.

That’s why we started Teachers Unify To End Gun Violence, John. We’re using our voices as educators to be a strong, unified voice for collective change and end this dangerous trend.
