SVYD March 16 Meeting Update: Call-In Only

Young Democrats,

Due to concerns regarding COVID-19 and recommendations by the Santa Clara County Public Health Department, the next Silicon Valley Young Democrats general meeting will be call-in only using Zoom. The meeting will still be on Monday, March 16 at 7pm. However, we will not be meeting in person. I have attached the details of how to call in below. You can call in using the Zoom app or by calling a phone number using a cellular or landline phone. If you plan on using the app, I highly recommend you install it before the meeting. As this is a new process and there is a possibility of technical difficulties, we will be postponing the vote on the bylaws amendment regarding endorsement thresholds until our April meeting. However, we will still have other important items on the agenda, including an update on the results from the March 3 primary election.

While the spread of COVID-19 is cause for concern and protective action, we must not panic. Our work advocating for leaders and policies that improve the lives of young people is more important than ever. We may have to change how we meet and organize, but we must continue our fight.
