Senator Vance has been busy representing the People of Ohio in Washington. Check out what he’s been up to! ‘IT’S FUNDAMENTALLY AN ASSAULT ON PEOPLE’S FIRST AMENDMENT RIGHTS’ (Fox News) – Senator Vance joins Laura Ingraham on Fox News to discuss the IRS targeting conservatives. Watch below: ‘THIS AUDIT FOLLOWS ON THE HEELS OF AN UGLY CHAPTER IN THE IRS’S HISTORY, DURING WHICH THE AGENCY UNFAIRLY TARGETED CONSERVATIVE GROUPS FOR SCRUTINY ON THE BASIS OF THEIR VIEWS’ (Fox News) -- Sen. JD Vance, R-Ohio, is expected to send a letter Thursday morning to the IRS commissioner demanding a halt to "harassment" of conservative organizations. Sen. Mike Braun, R-IN, cosigned the letter. The letter comes after the IRS informed the American Accountability Foundation (AAF) in a letter, which AAF shared with Fox News Digital, that it would launch an investigation into the watchdog group Sept. 14. "I do not need to remind you that the AAF audit follows on the heels of an ugly chapter in the IRS’s history, during which the agency unfairly targeted conservative groups for scrutiny on the basis of their views," he wrote. Vance seeks information from the IRS about potential bias in selecting audits, citing historical instances of IRS bias against conservative organizations. One example Vance cites was in 2017 when the agency subjected conservative groups applying for tax-exempt status to heightened scrutiny and significant delays. Vance (R-OH) has warned that anyone who is doing "effective work" for the conservative movement needs to be "looking around your shoulder" for the Internal Revenue Service, which some politicians have accused of targeting conservatives. "What the IRS is trying to do is basically send a signal that if you are doing effective work on behalf of the conservative movement, you got to have your head on a swivel," Vance said. "You got to be looking around your shoulder to make sure that the IRS isn’t going to come after you." Vance claimed that potentially politically motivated investigations by the IRS are "an assault on people's First Amendment rights," along with the United States government weaponizing itself against political opponents. The Ohio senator described this as "very dangerous" and called for others to "fight against this." Ohio Senator JD Vance is still pushing his colleagues to come up with separate measures and not lump all of the aid into one large spending plan. “They’re trying to collapse these things together because the bigger the package, the more money that is being spent, the harder it is for the American people to actually understand what’s going on,” Vance said. “You get these massive spending packages where nobody knows what’s in them.” Read WKBN’s full article and watch their package here: ‘IN OUR HUMBLE OPINION, WE SHOULD BE FINDING WAYS TO REDUCE THE NUMBER OF TERRORIST SYMPATHIZERS IN AMERICA, NOT INCREASE THEM’ (Breitbart) -- Sens. J.D. Vance (R-OH), Marco Rubio (R-FL), Mike Lee (R-UT), and Rick Scott (R-FL) sent a letter to President Joe Biden on Thursday, demanding that he not grant protected status to Palestinian refugees, arguing it would serve as a “magnet for migration.” “For the sake of our fellow American citizens, we ask that you continue your policy of not providing DED and TPS to Palestinian migrants and instead identify and close any vectors for Palestinian migration to the United States,” Vance, Rubio, Lee, and Scott concluded in their letter to Biden. “In our humble opinion, we should be finding ways to reduce the number of terrorist sympathizers in America, not increase them.” Read Breitbart’s article here. ‘I’M DONE WITH THIS ----. IT’S RACIST AND GROSS. FORBES SHOULD BE ASHAMED OF THEMSELVES FOR PUBLISHING IT’ (Fox News) -- Sen. J.D. Vance, R-Ohio., condemned an article published by Forbes about how to "decenter Whiteness" in the workplace, and declared his staff is investigating the organization of the woman who wrote it to see if it gets any Ohio money. In an article on the Forbes website, "3 Ways To Decenter Whiteness In Your Workplace," senior contributor Janice Gassam Asare, who founded the Diversity, Equity and Inclusion consultancy BWG Business Solutions, talked about how to remove "Whiteness" from the workplace to better cater to people "of color." "I'm just done with this s---. It's racist and it's gross. Forbes should be ashamed of themselves for publishing it," he wrote. "The author is a ‘diversity, equity, and inclusion’ consultant. I've directed my staff to investigate whether her ‘business’ receives any public money from Ohio."
