The Polaris Post
Dear John,
In the midst of the holiday season, we are so grateful for you and your commitment to ending human trafficking and supporting survivors. Thank you for being part of the anti-trafficking movement with us!
As part of the movement, please check out the following stories, ranging from programs and public policy updates to creative ways you can give, advocate, and engage. We also hope you'll forward The Polaris Post to others who share your values.
Together, we'll create a world where everyone is free to choose how and where they live and work.

Tell Congress to Listen to Survivors
Last week, we got in touch with an urgent request to defend the National Human Trafficking Hotline — and we are grateful for the 254 people who have already
sent emails and many others who have called their representatives!
The National Human Trafficking Hotline Enhancement Act (H.R. 2601) would require the Hotline to turn over information shared by the public to law enforcement, whether a victim consents or not. This bill would break the trust we have built with victims and survivors — and they will stop contacting the Hotline if the bill passes.
We're expecting the bill to go up for a vote in the House of Representatives before December 15, so please contact your representative today!

Check Out the Latest Hotline Upgrades
Exciting news! Last year, we received a Digital Innovation Grant from Twilio for our Hotline Optimization Project, modernizing technology and processes to improve service.
And now, we're seeing its impact, including more responsive text and web chat communication, plus higher priority for victims, survivors, and those contacting us with trafficking or high-risk cases.

Will You Walk Alongside Survivors?
You've seen how resilient survivors are. But on their journeys to freedom, they face challenges — like complex trauma, criminal records, and ruined credit — that can take years to overcome.
As part of our community, you're helping Polaris respond to survivors' immediate needs while advancing long-term efforts to ensure they each have the chance to move from surviving to thriving. And now through December 31, a special match will double your impact: Every $1 you give becomes $2, up to our goal of $500,000!

How Else Can You Help?
Besides our year-end campaign, there are many ways you can support Polaris and the survivors and partners we work with.
First, you can donate airline miles or hotel points to provide victims and survivors with transportation and short-term hotel stays. This year, we are running out of these resources faster than usual, and we want to make sure we can assist everyone through the end of the year and beyond!
Another way you can help is by giving non-cash assets, such as IRA and stock portfolios. These contributions both advance Polaris's mission and reduce your future tax burden.
