Disney, Walmart, Pizza Hut...

These are supposedly "family-friendly" brands. So what are they doing marketing to predators on Meta platforms? 

A recent Wall Street Journal investigation noted that ads for these companies were running alongside sexualized videos of children and other sexually explicit content on Meta platforms. Meta's algorithm was pushing this content to users, including to teens, as well as to test accounts acting as pedophiles do on the platform (adult men following young gymnasts, cheerleaders, and preteen/teen influencers on the platform).

In response to this exposé (which is only the most recent in a long string of scathing evidence on how Meta endangers and harms children), adult online dating companies Bumble and Match rightly stopped advertising on Meta. Match spokeswoman stated, “We have no desire to pay Meta to market our brands to predators or place our ads anywhere near this content.” 

Yet Disney, Walmart, and Pizza Hut have failed to follow suit. 


Please TAKE ACTION NOW, calling on these purportedly family-friendly brands, to stop advertising on Meta!
