Ahead of my first year anniversary on December 12th, I’m criss-crossing Los Angeles highlighting work we’ve accomplished on homelessness, safety, business, climate and city services. 

Today, I focused on work we’ve done to expand and improve city services and build a greener Los Angeles and made the following announcements from our first year:

• More than 2,500 Angelenos have been hired to join the City family during my first year which means city service requests are being filled faster 

• This year we delivered 100,000 more services than last year

• We’ve worked to ensure Metro ridership has increased every month of 2023 and has almost returned to pre-pandemic levels

• We’ve locked arms to secure millions of dollars in resources to protect the environment and we highlighted work to ensure that the City is working urgently to address this crisis.
