 From elementary school to college, students across the country are only a few weeks away from heading home for the highly-anticipated winter break – but, this year, final exams don’t seem like the scariest thing on the horizon. As a parent with two college-aged kids, I know how tough it is to put your kids through college these days with the skyrocketing cost of higher education. Student loan debt has gotten out of control. The choice to pursue a college education should not be accompanied by tens of thousands of dollars in debt from student loans.
