Hi John,
Due to the ongoing coronavirus outbreak, our campaign has decided to pause in-person canvassing and events for the time being.
As a campaign, we rely on talking to people at the doors to get our message out, but many of our canvassers are uninsured and the same goes for voters in the neighborhoods we canvass.
We want to make sure to prioritize the health of our volunteers, staff, and voters given how the coronavirus has laid bare our fragile, broken healthcare system and weak social safety net.
For more information on Delaware’s response to the coronavirus outbreak, and how you can keep yourself and your family safe and healthy, please visit the Delaware Division of Public Health’s website.
In the meantime, we’re counting on our supporters to make phone calls on our dialer system. Phone banking is more crucial than ever, since this will be our only method of direct voter contact for the time being.
This is important. I’m asking you: can you sign up for a 2 hour shift to make phone calls? You can do so from home, and our organizers will be happy to train you if you’ve never phone banked before.
