When Russia invaded Ukraine in February 2022, you answered our calls for support. You stepped up and stood in solidarity with women, trans, and non-binary activists impacted by the war. We at Urgent Action Fund for Feminist Activism are deeply grateful for your generous donation, which has served as a lifeline for many frontline activists as the conflict continues.

Through our Urgent Response Fund for Ukraine, we have awarded 232 grants totaling $3,569,600 to feminist activists and organizations in Ukraine and affected bordering countries. Your contribution has enabled us to pivot quickly and respond to immediate needs while enhancing the resistance and resilience of activists throughout this protracted conflict.

We are proud to share a few examples of your donation's significant impact on the lives and activism of feminist activists: 

• Fostered collective care and wellbeing: One grantee used funds to provide shelter, psychological support, and humanitarian aid to 480 women in the Zaporizhzhia region, covering expenses for essential supplies and advanced training for psychologists to support trauma survivors during the crisis.
• Centered reproductive care: An organization supporting expectant mothers provided aid to 345 pregnant women, offering essential 'superboxes' containing items such as diapers, incontinence pads, baby clothes, and more to address stress and economic hardship. 
• Strengthened institutional capacity: A feminist network used funds to support six staff members facing personal and medical emergencies, ensuring they could maintain their work including, allocating funds to 14 grassroots feminist initiatives addressing security needs.
