On day five of the 2023 United Nations Climate Change Conference, as we reach the end of the warmest year on record, it's clear that we need to take major steps to ensure a habitable future for all of us.

In November, Earth's temperatures hit an alarming new milestone - average global surface temperatures climbed about 2 degrees Celsius for the first time.

What does that mean? Well, we're talking about more extreme weather — floods, storms, hurricanes, droughts, and heat waves, all intensified by higher temperatures caused by the burning of fossil fuels. Rising sea levels directly impact us here in New Jersey, and we have no time to waste. Climate change is the existential threat of our time, and we have to treat it like the emergency it is.

Denial in the Republican party and corporate greed have hindered climate progress for far too long — putting our communities, neighborhoods, and children's lives at risk.  

But all hope is not lost, friend.

We have made progress with the Inflation Reduction Act which provides the largest support for wind, solar, energy storage, and other renewable energy projects in world history, but we have more work ahead of us to tackle this enormous problem.

The truth is, we CAN achieve net-zero greenhouse gas emissions while establishing high-wage jobs, ensuring both economic and environmental security for all Americans. But this can only happen if we mobilize every facet of American ingenuity and come together to reject GOP climate denial.

We must flip the House in 2024 and get climate-denying Republicans out of office. Friend, we need Democrats back in power to pass any substantive climate legislation. Can you help us flip the House by contributing $7 or any amount today?
