Team Casten, here! We wanted to give you a quick update on our last month visiting with constituents and make sure you saw some of the work Sean’s been doing in Congress.

FIELD UPDATES

Team Casten marched all over the district this past month! From the 4th of July to Algonquin Founders’ Day, we had a blast seeing everyone at the parades.

A special thanks to all those who came out to show their support!

Sean recently had the privilege of meeting with a few of the brave men and women currently serving in the Illinois National Guard. Thank you to all of the members of the Illinois National Guard and their families for their service and sacrifice.

• Traveled to Colorado for a Field Hearing on Climate Change
• Held a Panel Discussion on the Rising Costs of Insulin
• Visited Puente Del Pueblo in West Chicago
• Attended a Northern Kane County Chamber of Commerce Meet and Greet

LEGISLATIVE UPDATES

With your support, Sean’s been working hard to pass some great bills in the House. Here’s a recap of some of what we’ve accomplished together:

• Introduced the Climate-Risk Disclosure Act
• Raised Military Pay
• Passed an Amendment to Maintain the Great Lakes Advisory Board
• Passed the 9/11 First Responders Fund

In case you missed it, Sean boldly spoke out against Donald Trump’s executive order that would eliminate hundreds of science advisory committees.
