For too long, the Heartland has been overlooked and underfunded. That's why the top priority of my career has been bringing federal investments back home to Northern Ohio.

We scored another big victory in that fight recently, team, and I'm so proud to share it with you.

This funding is a direct result of the bipartisan Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act, passed in November of 2021.

And it couldn't come at a better time. The Napoleon, Defiance & Western Railway had 48 train derailments during 2022 alone. For the safety of our rail workers and our communities, we must rebuild our infrastructure.

Friend, this vital investment will turn one of the worst railroad tracks in America into an engine of economic development in Ohio. I'm so proud to bring these federal dollars home.
