No images? Click here ![]() ![]() John – I’m grateful to call Washington my home. Not only is our state’s natural beauty unparalleled, but we’re lucky to have vast natural resources that support countless communities and livelihoods, mine included. My family has worked as loggers for generations, and my husband and I even built our own house in rural Skamania county. From a young age, I was taught the importance of being a good steward of the earth. But, today’s reality is that climate change is a dire threat to our way of life and to our environment. We must protect our home for future generations. That’s why I’m asking you to join me in supporting the work of Washington Conservation Action. They’re leading the charge on protecting keystone species like salmon, ensuring clean waterways, and sustainable forest management. WCA has been instrumental in passing critical environment-first legislation in our state, harnessing the power of collaboration between community leaders, Tribal Nations, elected officials, and grassroots activists. In Congress, I’ve worked hard to promote forest conservation and restoration projects, extend federal resources to Tribal Nations, and protect natural resources for future generations. It’s critical that we do our part to move this work forward here in Washington, too. Thanks for all you do. Rep. Marie Gluesenkamp Perez, WA-03
