Hi john,

Last week, y’all absolutely turned out for us on Giving Tuesday, so to honor that we aren’t asking for a single dime in this email because we’re classy like that! Oh, there will be more begging, but this email? Nope. Nada, zip, bupkis. Instead, we’ll just go about our business like usual- keeping you informed, voicing our collective rage, giving you some ways to fight back, and of course swearing a lot. Some things just don’t fucking change. First the outrage:

HEY TEXAS: HE WHO DENIED IT, SUPPLIED IT!
We're marveling at the mental gymnastics required for the Texas Attorney General’s office to argue, in a classic ‘he who smelt it, dealt it’ line of thought, that it’s actually the fault of DOCTORS for not performing emergency abortions and not the state for creating a purposely confusing and harsh abortion ban. I’m sure the 22 women suing Texas find that argument very persuasive.

STATE OF OHIO: “WILL SCHMILL OF THE PEOPLE, WE'RE DOING WHAT WE WANT!”
After Ohio’s landmark passage of Issue 1, codifying abortion rights in the state constitution, Lebanon, Ohio repealed their anti-abortion ordinance and supported abortion rights. JUST KIDDING! Naturally, they doubled down and passed a resolution that says life begins at fertilization and calling on Congress and SCOTUS to act like it. It’s almost like…they don’t care what the majority of Ohioans want.
