Hi John,

We recently wrote to you about the abuse that our staff face, but we aren’t the only ones.

Journalists, especially females, face relentless attacks to silence their truth; if you value a free press reporting without fear, we urgently need your support for our critical research and intelligence work.

Social media has become a weapon for far-right activists, amplifying abuse towards journalists. Prominent figures like Sangita Myska, Emily Dugan, Lizzie Dearden, and Noa Huffman endure menacing intimidation. They stand strong, but they desperately need our support.

A free press is a cornerstone of democracy, and it's under threat. Help us urgently raise £20,000 to fortify HOPE not hate’s research and intelligence operations.

We seek to identify and report on the far right wherever they go, but disruptive changes to platforms like X/Twitter are blocking our path. Emboldened by the replatforming of banned users, and growing in confidence, far right activists are becoming more violent and abusive than ever before. We have to act.

As we race towards the new year, these funds will be crucial for our research and intelligence teams. Your contribution will help them to identify and unmask dangerous groups and individuals and distinguish keyboard warriors and trolls from those actively plotting harm. This has real-world impact outside of HOPE not hate - after all, it’s not long ago that one of our moles, Robbie Mullen, blew the whistle on a far right terror plot, saving several lives.

John, the far right is relentless in their mission, but so are we. Please, consider supporting our efforts today.

Thank you for everything you do. Together, we'll win.

Nick Lowles,

CEO of HOPE not hate
