Strong public schools are one of the most important investments we can make.

But unfortunately, instead of working to provide all students with quality education, Washington Republicans are working to undermine it.

The House GOP is currently fighting to slash funding for education and other vital programs by 25%. Their plan could force a nationwide reduction of 220,000 teachers from low-income classrooms – worsening the already-severe teacher shortage.

And across the nation, extreme GOP lawmakers are attacking the very institution of public education: vilifying teachers, censoring information, and even banning books.

We must stop this nonsense and provide proper funding, resources, and support to all public schools nationwide. Will you chip in $25 to help me do just that in Washington? [[link removed]]

I want to be very clear: Culture wars have no place in our public school classrooms.

That’s why in Congress, I introduced the Keep Our Promise to America’s Children and Teachers (PACT) Act to fully fund Title I and special education, as well as an amendment to the Rebuild America’s Schools Act to address overcrowding in K-12 classrooms.

I’m going to keep fighting for a public education system that treats teachers with respect and provides students with the knowledge they need to succeed.

So please, will you chip in to my campaign to make sure I can keep up the fight in 2024 and beyond? [[link removed]]
