Today, we have five reasons why we're asking you to contribute $5 to Elissa's campaign for U.S. Senate in Michigan. Here it goes:

1. The path to defending the Senate and keeping the White House blue runs right through Michigan. Last month, CNN said Michigan is one of the top ten states that could flip red in 2024 – which would essentially guarantee a Republican-held Senate.

2. Betsy DeVos and her billionaire family are contributing huge amounts of money to tip the scales in favor of one of our GOP opponents, Mike Rogers.

3. The holidays typically slow down our fundraising, which means we need to double down on our efforts to reach the very real internal goals we've set for our campaign, early in December.

4. A brand new poll shows both the Michigan Senate race and the Presidential race are neck-and-neck, which means National Republicans will be throwing everything they can at this notorious swing state to flip it red. We are preparing to fight back against millions of dollars in outside spending across the state.

5. We have fourthree Republican opponents in this race who are tripping over themselves to prove who can appeal to the extreme far-right base the most. They are willing to do and say anything to get elected — even at the expense of average Michiganders.
