We're following up on Lauren's message, John:
Already, 12,131 supporters have signed our petition demanding the Senate finally pass universal background checks – but we noticed that your name is still missing.
It's going on 13 months since the House passed this historic gun safety bill, and senators have refused to vote on it every single day since. We simply cannot accept their inaction – not when we know this bill would protect children from gun violence.
More children's lives are at risk every day this vote is delayed. That's why we must reach 20,000 petition signatures immediately to ramp up the pressure on senators to finally take action and pass this critical legislation. So will you sign the petition now?

Every voice helps send a powerful message to our elected leaders that we won't give up – we'll keep demanding a vote until they finally take much-needed action to protect children from gun violence. Thank you for making yourself heard today.

It's unacceptable, John:
As of yesterday, the Senate has now spent an entire year blocking universal background checks legislation passed by the House – legislation that would protect children from gun violence.
In that time, there have been more than 400 mass shootings – more families and communities torn apart because of the Senate's inaction.
Every day that passes puts more children's lives at risk, so we cannot stand by silently while the Senate fails to act. We must reach 20,000 petition signatures by midnight tomorrow to keep the pressure on senators to finally pass this critical bill, but we're falling short of our goal. Will you sign the petition now to demand a vote on universal background checks?
