For the past 2 years, President Trump and his administration have worked to weaken gun laws.

I’m furious.

For years, President Trump has rolled back as many protections President Obama put in place to protect American families from gun violence.

Sadly, Trump has made it easier for fugitives to acquire guns -- and he’s eliminated protections that would keep guns out of the hands of those who shouldn't have them.

Trump doesn’t care that President Obama acted swiftly to protect our communities. He and Mitch McConnell are beholden to the gun lobby above all else.

That angers me -- because right now there is bipartisan universal background checks legislation collecting dust on McConnell’s Senate floor.

I’ve had enough. It’s time for Trump and McConnell to finally protect our communities.

Quickly, I need 2,OOO,OOO grassroots Democrats with me to demand these Republicans get to work to prevent gun violence.
