Patriot,

The Surveillance State is now in full-on panic mode.

If Congress does the right thing and refuses to renew Section 702
of the Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Act, the
unconstitutional mass surveillance program will expire at the end
of the year - as it should.

But as we predicted, the Surveillance State and its backers in
Congress are shrieking these surveillance schemes are "vital to
national security." The statists are screaming that if their
unconstitutional power to spy on Americans isn't reauthorized,
there will instantly be a terrorist under every citizen's bed!

And their latest request is for Congress to simply renew Section
702 with no reforms at all.

You see, with Section 702 set to expire at the end of this month,
Deep State apologists in Congress insist there is simply no time
for reforms.

But, Patriot, you and I both know Congress has had four years to
prepare for this deadline - it didn't just sneak up on them like
the NSA does to American citizens!

And in fact, multiple hearings and briefings have occurred
throughout this past year.

The spy state apologists in Congress think they can push this to
the 11th hour and then RAM through a straight up renewal claiming
it's for the "safety of our country."

And you and I need to tell them, "NO WAY!"

Right now, the statists in D.C. are trying everything they can to
renew their mass surveillance powers. There's even talk of
stuffing an extension into the National Defense Authorization
Act.

There are multiple "reform" bills being offered from both
chambers, none of which are adequate to protect Americans'
freedom and privacy.

That's why we see stories in the media attempting to complicate
and mystify the issue, saying lawmakers are "grappling with a
dizzying number of options for how to tackle needed reforms" and
fighting over various details - when the truth is extremely
simple.

The Surveillance State has abused Section 702 to pull millions
upon millions of records on countless Americans, and even members
of Congress.

Section 702 has been abused to illegally spy on law-abiding
Americans without a warrant and even use that unconstitutionally
collected data in criminal proceedings against them.

The Deep State has proven beyond any doubt it is incapable of
reform. It cannot plausibly claim it needs these powers, because
if it did, it would not have condoned the total abuse committed
on an ongoing basis.

The solution isn't complicated. It's actually very simple.

Click here and DEMAND your lawmaker OPPOSE any and all efforts to
continue the unconstitutional mass data collection program and
LET SECTION 702 DIE!

The Surveillance State is pushing everything from a "short-term"
to a 12-year extension . . . with no reforms!

This battle will come down to the wire.

You and I must keep up the fight. Sign your postcard now,
demanding Section 702 die at the end of this month. And then,
please make a contribution of $200, $100, $50, $25, or whatever
you can afford to help us turn up the heat and get us through
these final weeks of battle

For Liberty,

John McCardell
Executive Director
Campaign for Liberty

P.S. The U.S. "intelligence" community, and especially the FBI,
illegally rummaged through millions upon millions of phone call
and message records on innocent Americans without a warrant.

You and I have known this for years despite the lies of James
Clapper, Christopher Wray, and dozens and dozens of other
"intelligence" officials.

But the Deep State has their backs against the wall right now.
You and I can deal a major blow to the Spy State by shutting down
Section 702 once and for all.

If you and I turn up enough heat on Congress to stop
reauthorization, I'm convinced we can bring the statists'
domestic spying programs to a crashing halt.

That's why I'm counting on you to please sign your STOP THE
SURVEILLANCE STATE e-postcard and make a contribution of $10,
$25, $50, $100, or more TODAY!
