Dear Friend,

In the face of the global coronavirus pandemic, Waterkeeper Alliance is making plans to continue our important mission-driven work, strengthening and supporting Waterkeepers around the world as they protect the bodies of water they love.

We’ve made plans to do that work in a way that will protect our Waterkeepers, our communities, and our staff.

We’ve asked our staff to work remotely, to help slow the spread of the virus. And we’re making plans to support the Waterkeepers in the field as they face this epidemic.

In the meantime, we continue to fight for clean water around the world, pushing back against dangerous rollbacks of clean water laws in the U.S., advocating for responsible development in The Bahamas, aiding dam fighters in Peru, and training Waterkeepers from places as diverse as Mexico, Australia, and Kenya on how to combat plastic pollution.

I often start emails by saying, “I hope this note finds you well.” I’ll conclude with that today: I hope this note finds you well, today, and in the days to come. We’re grateful for your support in these fights, now and always.

To clean water and good health,

Marc Yaggi
Executive Director
