John —
Donald Trump just issued another social media threat to repeal the Affordable Care Act – which would revoke health care coverage for tens of millions of Americans.
Trump tried everything to repeal and sabotage Obamacare during his four years in office. Now, as the GOP frontrunner for the presidential nomination, he’s doubling down on his efforts to destroy it.
But Trump and every Republican leader and movement for the last dozen years has made it clear they have NO plan to provide coverage to millions of Americans.
Not the Tea Party. Not the MAGA movement. The GOP has got nothing.
I was on the frontlines during the House fight to pass the ACA in 2010. I was there to defend it from Paul Ryan and the Tea Party. From Kevin McCarthy and the MAGA movement. And I’m not done fighting to expand health care — not by a long shot. Not until we’ve ensured universal health care for all.
MAGA extremists in the Senate are ready to stand by Trump and rescind the Affordable Care Act. We can’t let that happen, and I will fight like hell in the Senate to protect and expand health care coverage.
Please join me in standing up to Trump and calling for the protection of the Affordable Care Act. Health care is a right — not a privilege. And in the richest nation in the world, we must have universal health care by passing Medicare for All.
Ever since its passage in 2010, Republicans have targeted Obamacare and threatened to “repeal and replace” the legislation. They’ve run for office on this platform — and lost. They’ve voted 100 times to repeal the act — failing each time.
For 13 years, Democrats in the Senate have protected the Affordable Care Act, and I’m ready to take up the fight for millions of Americans who deserve the right to low-cost health care.
If you support Senate Democrats fighting to protect the Affordable Care Act and making it universal with Medicare for All, add your name today.
Thanks for raising your voice.
