Folks — It’s no secret that former Milwaukee Sheriff David Clarke wants to run for Senate to defeat Tammy Baldwin. But his latest slip is the closest we’ve seen to an “announcement.”

He was introduced as "Senate Candidate Sheriff David Clarke" on a recent right-wing Newsmax broadcast.

Which begs the question: Do they know something we don’t?!

Even if we chalk this up to a Freudian slip, it’s clear that we need to start taking David Clarke’s potential candidacy seriously.

Clarke is a far-right extremist who praises violent organizations like the Proud Boys, calls the deadly January 6 insurrection a “frat party gone wild,” and is one of Donald Trump’s loudest cheerleaders.
