Hello Michigan Dems,
I hope this letter finds you in good health and high spirits. As we reflect on the accomplishments of 2023, I am thrilled to share the incredible legislative achievements that our collective efforts have brought to fruition. Together, we have made a lasting impact on the great state of Michigan.
First and foremost, let us celebrate the passage of landmark legislation aimed at making the lives of Michigan families better. Through our advocacy and steadfastness, we worked to codify the Affordable Care Act into Michigan law, repealed the draconian 1931 law and passed the Reproductive Healthcare Act, expanded the Elliott-Larsen Civil Rights Act, repealed Right to Work, repealed the Retirement Tax, expanded the Working Families Tax Credit, passed common-sense gun reform to include expanded background checks and safe storage laws, passed a landmark state budget, and passed the largest education budget in Michigan’s history ensuring that every child in Michigan has access to a high-quality education. Michigan Democrats led the way, and we can be proud of the work we accomplished this legislative session.
Moreover, our relentless pursuit of environmental justice has borne fruit with the passage of comprehensive climate legislation. Michigan is now at the forefront of sustainable practices, with a focus on renewable energy, conservation, and a commitment to combating the effects of climate change. These legislative wins reflect our unwavering dedication to protecting our environment and preserving the beauty of our state for generations to come.
As we celebrate these victories, let us remain steadfast in our commitment to progress and unity. The achievements of 2023 are a testament to the power of collaboration, advocacy, and the resolute spirit of the Michigan Democratic Party. As we focus on 2024, we must remain laser-focused on shaping a brighter, more equitable future for our beloved state.
Thank you for your tireless dedication to the Democratic values we hold dear. And with your help [[link removed]] and support [[link removed]] , I look forward to continuing our success in 2024!

Lavora

Don't get scammed and taken in by holiday "deals."
Here are 5 tips that should keep you safe:
