John: President Trump now says he will slash funding for Medicare and Social Security if he gets reelected – all to reduce the massive deficit created by his tax break for the wealthiest 1%.

Our seniors should not have to suffer because of his shameful policies. The only way to protect these critical programs from cuts by Trump and his allies in Congress is to protect our Democratic House majority – and that’s exactly why the GOP is preparing to pour money into this race to flip my seat red.

If we’re going to have the resources we need to fight back, we have to raise another $2,500 before midnight tonight – and I’m counting on your immediate help to make that happen:

America should not be a place where a disease or chronic condition can force you into bankruptcy – or to choose between paying for your prescriptions or paying your rent. It should not be a place where brilliant researchers and scientists spend their lives developing lifesaving medicine that people can’t afford to use.

But if we don’t protect this seat – and our Democratic House majority with it – Trump and his special interest allies will continue to tip the scales in favor of the wealthy.
