Coronavirus Information for Iowans
In the past few days, cases of coronavirus (COVID-19) have continued to rise here in Iowa, just like we’ve seen in many other states across the country. At this point, there are over 1,300 cases in the United States, and that number is almost certain to grow.
For Iowans with questions about COVID-19, a public hotline is available 24/7: just call 2-1-1.
In Congress, we are working to do our best to limit the spread of the virus, including passing legislationnow lawto better support our local, state, and federal governments as they grapple with this situation. At the federal level, Congress will continue to discuss what next steps might be needed.

The Centers for Disease Control (CDC), in conjunction with the White House Coronavirus Task Force, has worked hard to ensure the American public is informed. Folks should continue to visit their website for information and updates relating to the coronavirus, including:

Taking calm, commonsense steps to limit the spread is the least we can do to help ensure that our loved ones stay healthy and that we address this virus as best we possibly can. We will all play an important role in keeping Iowa healthy. Everyoneno matter your age or healthcan carry the virus and inadvertently spread it. Let’s all take this seriously and each do our part to look out for one another.
