John: Today is International Day of Persons with Disabilities, a day to honor and to promote the rights and well-being of persons with disabilities. In honor of this important day, we’re reaffirming our commitment to creating an equitable, accessible and inclusive world for all.
Right now, nearly 240 million children in the world are living with a disability. Many more live in families where adults or caregivers have a disability. To raise awareness and uplift their voices, we’re sharing stories of three children from around the world who’ve experienced unimaginable hardships but remain as strong and resilient as ever.
Thank you for learning more this International Day of Persons with Disabilities, and for everything you do to create irreversible, positive change in the lives of children around the world.
