Friend,
Tamar here. I want to make sure you saw our campaign manager, Max’s, note about adjustments to the campaign in the midst of the coronavirus concerns in our district.
Though we are making adjustments to continue to try and run our campaign as normally as possible, the use of virtual events brings some complications: we still need to be collecting signatures to get Alex on the ballot and we now need additional equipment to create video content to continue to connect with our volunteers and organizers.
Can you chip in now to ensure we have the funds we need to create virtual content for you and all of our supporters? Your contribution will ensure that we keep making progress toward collecting the 2,000 signatures we need to get on the ballot.

We have a goal to raise at least $8,000 before the end of the month. This will facilitate us having enough in our budget to keep up with campaign overhead costs and the new expenses arising from our accommodations for public health concerns.
Ensuring the safety and wellbeing of our staff, organizers, volunteers, and community is our top priority. So we’ll keep campaigning virtually until this crisis ends, but we need your investment to stay afloat.
Chip in today to help keep our movement’s momentum strong.

Hey Friend,
This is Max, Alex’s campaign manager. I wanted to give you an update on the campaign and where we stand as we navigate growing concerns about the coronavirus.
In response to the ongoing public health concerns, we’ll be adjusting a few aspects of the campaign to ensure our staff, volunteers, and you stay safe and healthy. So here are our first steps:
• We will be evaluating our calendar of events on a case by case basis. Organizers will be reaching out to you if you’ve RSVP’d to an upcoming event to keep you updated on its status.
• Alex and the team will be facilitating virtual town halls, trainings, and one-on-one chats on Instagram Live and Facebook Live. So be sure to follow us on both Instagram and Facebook.
• We will make every effort to make sure that virtual trainings and resources are interactive and prioritize different accessibility needs.
We’ll soon be sharing best practices for relational outreach on how to continue organizing and connecting with your friends, family, and neighbors about the importance of this campaign and our race.
Most importantly, we want to continue running a campaign that engages you in decisions like these. We know that many community members may not have access to an internet connection and therefore may have trouble accessing virtual events. For this reason, we’re reaching out to you for any suggestions you may have for ways we can best engage with you and your community. Please feel free to reply directly to this email with your thoughts.
Please stay informed on the progress of the coronavirus in your area by accessing information through the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention at cdc.gov
Information is also available there in Spanish. If you know anyone in our community who needs an extra hand, especially our elderly and most vulnerable, please let us know.
Thank you for your continued support! We will get through this together.
Max
Campaign Manager,
