John, the federal
minimum wage has been stuck at $7.25 since 2009, and while California and
other states have higher minimums, $15 or $16 an hour still isn’t enough
for families to live off of.

We should boost the minimum wage to $20 per hour nationally and $25 per
hour in California, both indexed to inflation. [ [link removed] ]If you’re with me, can

I’m fighting to lower the cost of the things people need to survive and
succeed—everything from housing, to groceries, healthcare, and college.
But we also have to put more money back into people’s pockets. Boosting
the minimum wage does exactly that. It would directly affect nearly 1 in 5
California workers.

We’ve been stuck at $7.25 because corporations have too much influence in
Washington. But the profits we’re seeing from multinational corporations
don’t lie: these companies can afford to pay the people who power them a
living wage.

Thanks, John.
