Chief Bradley Haas was a true hero.

This week, I spoke on the House Floor to recognize the life and bravery of New Hampshire’s own Bradley Haas, who was killed in the line of duty while protecting the staff and patients at the New Hampshire Hospital on November 17th, preventing what may have been a mass shooting.

There is no doubt that Chief Haas’s courage saved countless lives. Our community, state, and country owe him and his family a debt that can never be repaid.

Throughout his life of service, Chief Haas always devoted himself to working for others.

He will be remembered as many things: a hero, a patriot, a community leader, and a friend.

May he rest in peace.

AI technology has the potential to transform our health care system and improve patient outcomes – but only if we use it effectively.

This week in the Energy and Commerce Committee, I spoke about the urgent need to ensure the data used to train AI programs is accurate and unbiased and that patient privacy is protected.

I will always fight to protect your privacy online and from bad actors.

We must continue working to support everyone involved in the adoption process.

I will always fight to support our brave New Hampshire law enforcement officers.

New Hampshire’s law enforcement officers go above and beyond the call of duty every day to protect our communities – we must ensure they have the resources to do their jobs safely.

This week, I helped announce new resources heading to our state to help hire more police officers, strengthen accreditation programs, train crisis intervention teams, and prevent violence in our schools. Thank you to our law enforcement community and officers for all they do to keep us safe.

Rural businesses, producers, and farmers play a critical role in growing our economy, and we must work to ensure they have the support they need to thrive. 

From record rainfall and flooding to devastating cold snaps, this has been a challenging year for New Hampshire producers and underscores the importance of supporting local agriculture and our farmers. 

This week, I was pleased to help announce new USDA Rural Development resources going to New Hampshire farmers to help their businesses expand operations, serve more customers directly, and improve access to sustainably sourced food.
