The Alliance Defending Freedom (ADF) is a group of extremist conservative lawyers who have won fifteen Supreme Court cases, including the one that resulted in the overturning of Roe v. Wade .

ADF has now set its sights on a new goal: ending access to birth control. And they’re serious about it. This year, their litigation led to the unprecedented judicial suspension of a long-standing FDA approval for mifepristone, a pill used in half of all abortions in America. Mifepristone has long kept abortions safe, and it’s clear that the ADF wants a total ban on reproductive care.

ADF leader Alan Sears has even been quoted saying that in the future, Americans will “say the birth control pill is a mistake.”
