The First District’s current representative did NOT want Santos to leave, despite his lies

** George Santos Is Out,
------------------------------------------------------------

** Fulcher Wanted Him To Stay
------------------------------------------------------------

Today, the GOP expelled one of their own and while this is long overdue, our current representative, Russ Fulcher, voted to keep him in Congress. I’m profoundly disappointed over his continued support of the disgraced George Santos. If you haven’t heard, Santos has a history of egregious lies to the American public and federal prosecutors bringing 23 indictments against him including money laundering and wire fraud. Yikes. I made a statement below, but since Santos was elected, I’ve been in awe that this level of arrogance was supporting in today’s Republican Party.

“Integrity and transparency are the cornerstones of public service. The recent expulsion of George Santos from Congress underscores the necessity of these virtues.” I’m not quite sure how else to put it, but if you’re looking for some of Santos’ greatest hits, here are some of the claims he’s made during his campaign…

* 9/11 Fabrications: Falsely claimed his mother died in the 9/11 attacks.

* Charitable Fraud: Allegedly diverted funds from a charity for a veteran’s service dog.

* Holocaust Deceit: Invented a story about his grandparents fleeing the Holocaust.

* Career Lies: Fabricated a high-profile career in finance.

* Academic Falsehoods: Claimed to graduate from institutions he never attended.

* Check Fraud: Santos confessed to using a stolen checkbook to buy goods in Brazil.

* Campaign Finance Allegations: Receipts show Santos using campaign contributions to pay off personal debts, shopping trips to Hermes, and Botox treatments

* Unemployment Scheme: Records show Santos receiving unemployment while making six figures at a Florida investment firm

Yet, despite this clear disregard for truth and accountability, Congressman Fulcher voted to retain Santos in Congress. This decision is not only disappointing but also deeply concerning. It reflects a tolerance for dishonesty and a lack of commitment to the ethical standards we Idahoans hold dear. This isn’t the first time Fulcher has played fast and loose with the public’s trust. In 2021, Fulcher was investigated after rushing Capitol police at security gates days after January 6th, and joined fellow Freedom Caucus members as they broke into a classified hearing with digital recording devices, creating potential threats to national security.

Here’s another statement I have about this: “With America's trust in our systems of government at an all time low, it’s devastating that Fulcher missed an opportunity to stand up for what Idahoans know to be right, for our District, for our values, for our law, and our belief that this country and it’s institutions represent the best of us.”

The choice is clear. We need a change in representation, one that aligns with our values of integrity and transparency, at the very least decency. It’s time for ethical leadership in Congress. It’s time for a representative who will stand up for the truth.”

I need your help to do that. Between driving thousands miles over the last few months to meet Idahoans wherever they are across the state, to holding those in power accountable for their actions, to spreading our platform of support for strength the middle-class in Idaho, protecting the rights of women across the country to make decisions right-sized for their healthcare needs without government overreach, and providing healthcare and services for those who rely on government programs, campaigns can be expensive.

If you are willing, and able, I’d greatly appreciate a contribution to help continue to hold our leaders accountable and expose their actions behind closed doors. $5, $10, $15, $50, $100… any contribution you make to our cause helps me reach more Idahoans and share our message.
