SUN CITY MOBILE OFFICE HOURS
This week, I hosted mobile office hours in Sun City. Mobile office hours are an opportunity for constituents to get help with a federal agency, chat with me, and learn about the services my office offers. If you'd like to be notified of future mobile office hours, please click here to sign up for alerts.
Congressman Carter greets constituents at the Sun City Mobile Office Hours.
When President Biden released $6 billion to Iran, he made the world more dangerous. Iran is the number one state sponsor of terrorism in the world and has ties to several terrorist organizations, including Hamas and Hezbollah. Allowing Iran to have an inch gave them a mile, and not long after, Hamas attacked Israel. This week, the House voted on the No Funding for Iranian Terrorism Act, which imposes immediate sanctions on any financial institution that does business with the Qatari banks that are currently holding the $6 billion President Biden recklessly released to Iran. I supported this bill on the floor and hope my colleagues in the Senate will take it up soon.
Are you feeling the impacts of inflation this holiday season?
NOVEMBER CONSTITUENT SERVICES
My office stands ready to help you if you have an issue with a federal agency. During November, we assisted 173 Central Texans with veterans' benefits, Social Security, military service records and medals, and passports. We also returned over $21,000 in back benefits to families whose money was tied up behind bureaucratic red tape, bringing this year's total to over $5.2 million. If you need assistance with a federal agency, we are here to help. Find out more about the casework process here.
As always, thank you for taking the time to stay updated on what's happening in Texas' 31st congressional district. Follow my Facebook and Twitter accounts for more updates.
Representing you and Texas in the United States House is an honor and privilege.
