Dear John,

March is Women’s History Month, and we are excited to honor many inspirational women that have defined American history including Condoleezza Rice, Helen Keller, Secretary Elaine Chao, and more recently, Nikki Haley. This year as we celebrate the centennial of the women's right to vote, we are also featuring the women that led the charge of the women's suffrage movement.
Throughout the month, our chapters are finding their voice as bold, empowered conservative women as they host engaging and creative events including professional development workshops and experts to make the conservative case on issues.

The NeW year has been off to a great start with chapters hosting strong policy and professional development events including: conservative student networking night at Harvard University (top left), College of Charleston met for crepes in honor of Groundhog Day, Romina Boccia from the Heritage Foundation spoke on the gender wage gap at The Catholic University of America (top right), University of Virginia got together for a professional development workshop (bottom left), American University brought Kelsey Bolar from the Heritage Foundation and The Daily Signal to campus for an engaging discussion on conservatives in the media (bottom right), and Baylor University had a recruiting party for Galentine’s Day. NeW provides a space for women to come together on campus, talk about policy, and stand up as strong, sharp, smart conservative college women.
We are looking forward to what the rest of the year has in store. And if you do not already, be sure to follow us on InstagramFacebook, and Twitter to stay up to date on upcoming events and see what NeW women are doing on their campuses and in their communities.

Best,

Kathryn Alford

CPAC 2020
In February, women from NeW chapters across the country came to Washington, DC for CPAC. NeW brought in a record 40 chapter leaders on scholarship to CPAC. Additionally, NeW hosted a successful Women EmPower Hour featuring special guest Patrice Lee Onwuka, senior policy analyst at Independent Women’s Forum and frequent guest on Fox News, who spoke to a packed room of more than 100 attendees. College and professional women came together for an inspiring evening of networking and professional development.

Emma Foley, NeW at Boston College Leader, shared about her experience at CPAC, "After attending CPAC, I now feel encouraged and empowered to return to my campus without being afraid to be myself, and I am more determined than ever to make the voices of conservative college students heard."

"I loved CPAC. It was a great networking opportunity and a fantastic way to meet other conservative women across the country. This experience strengthened my views as a conservative and empowered me to stand up for those ideals," Britta Iverson, NeW at Xavier University Leader, reflected on her time at CPAC.
