No More Blank Checks ⛔

Congress has a whole lot to tackle before we break for the holidays.



At the top of our to-do list is a package

for BILLIONS in aid to folks all over the dadgum world, admittedly many of
whom do need our help. But I won’t vote to send tens of billions of dollars to
a corrupt country like Ukraine when we’re nearly$34 trillion

in the hole, and we’ve got a full-fledged crisis unfolding atour own border
<[link removed]>
.



This has been a long time coming, and as the lawlessness at our southern
border rages on, it's plain as day that we're dealing with a real-deal
emergency. We've got a record number of people streaming in through Biden’s
wide-open gates, and word from our Border Patrol agents in the thick of it is
that a good many are on theterror watch list.

Where in the world are our priorities, folks?



I still remember when President Trump was told the price tag

to build a wall would break us. Yet here we are throwing more money at Ukraine
after we’ve already sent them a whopping114 billion unchecked dollars

. There are no receipts for this Ukraine funding, and this isn’t a game of
Monopoly—it’s your hard-earned money at stake.



Our friends and allies in Israel desperately need us right now.



Our border deserves immediate intervention.



These items are worthy of our spending, and even though I’m going to sound
like a broken record here, they’re good enough to be separate bills.



Once again, I'm downright fed up with Democrats hitching these matters to
Ukraine

, just to keep the wheels of corruption turning. All of you back home have made
your stance crystal clear: the Ukraine gravy train must stop immediately, and I
want to honor you by putting my foot down.



We’ve got our hands full as we try to wrangle all this next week, but here’s
to hoping we come out on the other side with a constructive plan and some
fiscal responsibility.

It isn’t Christmas in Knoxville until the downtown tree is decked out and lit
up!



The Regal Celebration of Lights helped East Tennesseeans kick off the holiday
season with festivity and cheer for the whole family. The 42-foot-tall Mickey
Mallonee tree really is a spectacular sight to see, so I hope you all find some
time to get out and enjoy it. Remember, you can now ice skate on Knoxville’s
Holidays on Ice open-air skating rink as well.



From the bottom of my heart, I wish all of you a happy and healthy holiday
season filled with special moments and the people you love.
